Bitcoin:
- Bitcoin Core v0.20.0 has been released! This release includes updates to various RPCs, GUI changes, and the wallet software now uses bech32 addresses by default.
- A recent CoinDesk article goes into detail about the v0.20.0 release feature which includes an “Asmap” to help protect against “Erebus” attacks.
- Decrypt Media shares info on a bug in the Bitcoin transaction protocol, SegWit, and how it can be exploited to trick hardware wallet users into sending BTC to the wrong address.
Ethereum:
- Prysmatic Labs launched the next phase of Prysm, Onyx. This means Prysmatic Labs has moved on from Topaz to Onyx which is aiming to be the final specification before a mainnet launch of ETH2.0.
- Geth developers have launched a temporary testnet called YOLOv1 which includes the JUMPSUB and BLS EIPs.

- Paradigm releases their full update on the Cosmos ecosystem including updates to Tendermint Core, Cosmos SDK, IBC, Ethermint, and more.
- Ethereum mixer Tornado.cash has integrated with Chainlink to create reliable fallback solutions for scenarios where users on TOR get blocked when requesting gas price feeds.
- Alex Gluchowski, co-founder of Matter Labs, shares a post on zkRollup vs. Validium (StarkEx) layer-2 scaling solution.

- BandChain’s Phase 0 mainnet launch takes place today, June 10th at 14:00 UTC. Binance will be supporting both deposits and withdrawals for the BAND mainnet token.

- The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) has updated its request for information aiming to contract someone to provide a full range of virtual currency management and disposal services.
- According to ETF Stream and CoinTelegraph, ETC Group announced on June 9th, 2020 that Bitcoin Exchange Traded Crypto, BTCE, will launch on Deutsche Börse Xetra after it receives approval from German finance regulators.
- Coinbase is aiming to sell blockchain analytics software to the U.S. government as noted in a recent article from TheBlock.
- Both Bittrex and Poloniex have been added as new defendants in the updated lawsuit, filed on June 3rd, 2020 in the Southern District Court of New York, against Bitfinex, Tether, and other affiliates. Check out the amended lawsuit here.
