- Will Reeves, CEO and Co-Founder of Fold, shares that Fold is the first Lightning app and second bitcoin-only app to ever break into the Top 100 Finance App charts for both Android and iOS.
- Upgrading to LND v0.14.0-beta breaks compatibility with BOLT compliant nodes (eclair, c-lightning, and more). Users were noted to wait for a patch in v0.14.1-beta.
- Lightning Labs announces that Lightning Terminal is now available to everyone, providing a simple web UI for node operators to improve the quality and liquidity of their node.
Ethereum:
- EIP-4488 was released by Vitalik Buterin and Ansgar Dietrichs which aims to decrease transaction calldata gas cost and add a limit to how much total transaction calldata can be in a block. Thus, it may result in a block size limit.
- Ethereum Foundation shares how The Merge impact’s Ethereum’s application layer.
- Trent shares the upcoming Merge Community Call agenda with focus on validators, transaction fees, upcoming milestones and EIP-4399.
- Prysmatic Labs releases Prysm v2.0.4 which is a patch release to fix the performance problem of high network bandwidth in v2.0.3.
- Erigon publishes their latest release, v2021.12.01-beta which enables tx pool price bumps, a hard limit of 3TB for database sizes, and more!

- StarkWare launches StarkNet Alpha on Ethereum mainnet! StarkNet is a permissionless decentralized ZK Rollup operating as a layer-2 network over Ethereum. StarkNet is built on the Cairo programming language, a Turing complete von-Neumann verifier on Ethereum, which allows dApps to achieve unlimited scale for computation without compromising Ethereum’s composability and security.
- The first smart contract deployed on StarkNet mainnet was an Argent account.
- dYdX shares that eligible new and existing users can now deposit to dYdX gas-free.
- MyMonero users can apparently directly purchase XMR with fiat, however no docs have been posted yet.
- Tornado.Cash protocol’s smart contracts are all set and ready to deploy on Arbitrum! Settling on Arbitrum will allow Tornado.Cash users to take advantage of layer-2 benefits.
- Ren shares that Host 2 Host is now live on mainnet! RenVM can now bridge almost any asset across any blockchain.

- The Tezos Tenderbake testnet is now live! This enables the new Tenderbake consensus algorithm for proper testing and development on testnet.
