- Lightning Lab’s lnd v0.13-beta has been released! This release includes initial support for atomic multi-path payments (AMP) enabling larger and more reliable spontaneous payments, a new clustered operating mode, payment optimizations, and wallet enhancements.
- Bitfinex can now support up to 5 BTC via Lightning Network!
Ethereum:
- The London upgrade is now ready for deployment on Ethereum testnets! The first fork will occur on Ropsten testnet in roughly 3K blocks at the time of writing.
- Vitalik shares info on detailed plans regarding Verkle trees and state expiry.
- Ben Edgington shares what’s new in ETH2.0 with updates on the Beacon Chain, Altair upgrade, The Merge and more!
- Geth v1.10.4 has been released! This release includes the London hard-fork for all testnets. The mainnet block for London has not yet been decided.
- Nethermind releases v1.10.73 which includes all consensus changes for London and block numbers for all testnets.
- Erigon, previously Turbo-Geth, releases v2021.06.04-alpha which removes LMDB support and adds support for the London testnet.
- Solidity v0.8.6 has been released! This upgrade contains a fix for a non-critical bug related to unreachable code warnings.
Other Chains:
- Kyber Network partners with Polygon to enhance DeFi liquidity through their deployment of Kyber DMM (Dynamic Market Maker), which plans to be deployed on Polygon on June 30th, 2021.
- Osmosis, the 8th Cosmos blockchain to enable IBC and the 6th chain connecting to the Cosmos Hub is now live! Osmosis is an automated market maker (AMM) built for liquidity providers and is governed by liquidity providers.
- UMA announces that they are scaling to Polygon and laying the groundwork for further support of multiple Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible solutions.
- Alchemy partners with Optimism to fully support the ecosystem and enable developers to reliably tap into Optimism’s scaling capabilities.

- The World Bank stated last week that it cannot assist El Salvador’s bitcoin implementation given environmental and transparency shortcomings.
- Sichuan orders state power grid to cut supply for 26 bitcoin mining farms.
- Iron.Finance suffered an incident due to a failure in their stabilizing mechanism which allowed for too much of a time window between the price feed oracle and the actual real-time market prices - thus causing users to become unprofitable and not protect the stabilization of TITAN.
- MicroStrategy purchased an additional 13,005 bitcoins for ~$489M in cash at an average price of ~$37,617 per bitcoin. As of June 21st, 2021, MicroStrategy holds ~105,085 BTC acquired for ~$2.741B at an average price of ~$26,080 per bitcoin.
- With the recent rug pull on Visor Finance, Visor shared that they did not rescue the resulting $500K, but the remaining deposits ~$2.5M in the Hypervisors. They switched the compromised admin owner of the safeguard to a multi-sig account and initiated restore of deposits with their treasury.
- Blockchain Capital raises $300M in funding from its Fund V with investors including PayPal Holdings Inc., and Visa Inc..

- Stronghold Digital Mining, a digital asset miner powered by alternative energy, announced a $105M funding round.

- Landon Cassill will be the first NASCAR driver paid entirely in cryptocurrency in a sponsorship deal with Voyager. Voyager will pay the funds in Litecoin.
