- The current signaling process is looking good for Taproot!! We still need ~1300 additional blocks to signal, but are currently at ~97.82% signaling.

- Matter Labs announces that the Alpha version of zkEVM testnet is now live! With the testnet now live, users can check out the activity of zkSync 2.0 via this block explorer.
- 1inch announces the integration with Mercuryo, allowing 1inch Wallet users to buy DeFi assets using a fiat-on-ramp gateway!
- Alchemist introduces mistX, a FlashDEX running Flashbots technology for front-running protection and “no success, no fee” transactions. With mistX, your transaction is either successful with no front-running, or you pay nothing.
- COMIT Network, an Australian research and development workgroup, announced that trustless atomic swaps between Monero and Bitcoin are now live on mainnet!
- The Gnosis client development team joins Erigon, formerly Turbo-Geth, to release the next-generation Ethereum client as they have decided to stop maintaining and supporting the codebase inherited from Parity Technologies, which they now call OpenEthereum 3.x. This is scheduled to take effect after the London upgrade in mid July 2021.
- On June 1st, 2021 at 15:00 UTC, the Stellar public network successfully upgraded to Protocol 17. This version introduces a new feature designed to make it easier to issue regulated financial instruments on Stellar.
- Wrapped announces Eco BTC (eBTC), the world’s first carbon-neutral Bitcoin-backed asset. eBTC combines Bitcoin and MOSS.Earth Carbon Credits (MCO2) in a single digital asset.
- The MakerDAO Protocol Engineering team releases their full strategy for a multi-chain world.
- dYdX shares that they have reached $2B in total volume on layer-2 Perpetuals powered by StarkWare since their launch in April!
- ZeroSwap announces their expansion to Polygon by launching the ETH <> Polygon Bi-Directional Bridge.
- Tendermint releases Starport v0.16 which brings Keplr wallet integration and better IBC support.
- CompliFi shares that as of May 31, 2021, they are moving to Polygon layer-2. Their hopes are for transactions costs to drop to <$0.01 for all derivative swaps and LP actions.
- RenVM integrates with Fantom, RenVM’s second chain going live from their Blockchain Blitz. The Fantom x RenVM Bridge will allow anyone to mint and burn the following assets on Fantom: renBTC, renBCH, renDGB, renDOGE, renFIL, renLUNA, and renZEC.
- A proposal was published on the MakerDAO message boards regarding an oracle that would utilize SushiSwap primitives and liquidity reserves to calculate the price of a Uniswap LP token.
- Offchain Labs shares that Arbitrum contracts have been deployed on Ethereum mainnet, and have begun onboarding infrastructure and projects. Their mainnet chain, which is a separate layer-2 chain and known as, Arbitrum One, is now live and open for developers!

- Bison trails announces support for Helium, a new blockchain that powers decentralized wireless infrastructure for the Internet of Things.
- The Polygon blockchain dataset is now available on Google BigQuery!
- ARCx Sapphire v3 is introduced! This upgrade from ARCx will enable the ARCx protocol to issue a DeFi passport, which encourages reputation-building and curates on-chain identity.

- CoinDesk reports that PayPal plans to let users withdraw cryptocurrency to third-party wallets soon.
- Bitcoin rewards platform, Fold opens full access to its BTC rewards debit card to all U.S. residents. In addition, Fold announced the conclusion of a $13M Series A fundraise led by Craft Ventures, with participation from M13, Slow Ventures and Bessemer.
- Kraken releases a new app allowing users to buy and sell Bitcoin and any of the 50+ cryptocurrencies that are now offered!
- As of June 1st, 2021, users who hold a Coinbase Card can use it with Apple Pay and Google Pay to make it even easier to spend crypto!
- The U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) wants to increase its understanding of how privacy technology works, including those governing certain protocols.
- Balancer Labs announces a new round of investors joining the likes of Alameda Capital, Pantera Capital, and more extending $24.25M of capital to Balancer Labs. The new investors will purchase BAL tokens directly from the Balancer Labs treasury.
- DeFi Prime and others share that Burgerswap was exploited for ~$7.2M on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) via another flash loan attack.
- Set Labs raises a $14M Series A round led by 1kx and Hashed! In addition, they welcome new and existing supporters including Mechanism Capital, Defiance, Spartan, ParaFi, Coinbase Ventures, Craft, Threshold Ventures, and long-term Set community members.
